Indian Coast Guard rescues stranded fishing boat off Karwar

New Delhi, Apr 16 (UNI) The Indian Coast Guard (ICG) on Tuesday successfully rescued an Indian Fishing Boat (IFB) Rosary which was stranded about 215 nautical miles from Karwar, Karnataka due to engine failure.

According to an official statement, the IFB Rosary had sent a distress call which was swiftly responded by ICG Ship Savitribai Phule on April 13. Despite adverse sea conditions, the ICG Ship soon established communication with the fishing boat.
