New Delhi, Apr 1 (UNI) The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday predicted heavy rainfall over Northeast India and heatwave conditions over parts of central and peninsular India for this week.
According to IMD, enhanced rainfall and thunderstorms will continue over Northeast India until April 7.
“A cyclonic circulation lies over northeast Assam and another over northeast Bihar at lower tropospheric levels. Under its influence, isolated to scattered light rainfall is likely over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim during the next 7 days, with isolated thunderstorms and lightning from April 1 to 3,” the IMD said.
