Washington, May 9 (UNI) US President Donald Trump has announced a three-day ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine, following renewed accusations from both sides that earlier truce agreements had been violated during Victory Day commemorations marking the Soviet Union’s defeat of Nazi Germany in World War II.
Belgrade, May 6 (UNI/Sputnik) Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Wednesday that he had handed Russian Ambassador Alexander Botsan-Kharchenko a letter congratulating Russian President Vladimir Putin on the May 9 Victory Day.
Helsinki, May 4 (UNI) Finland is set to carry out a series of naval and coastal defence exercises in May close to its eastern frontier near the Russian border, with some of the military infrastructure built during the drills expected to remain in place afterwards, placing military activity close to a sensitive stretch of the Baltic region, where tensions have remained elevated ever since Helsinki joined NATO.
