Odisha to become a major Energy Hub for World: Pradhan

Bhubaneswar, Apr 8 (UNI) Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, who attended the Odisha Investors Summit held in New Delhi on Tuesday, said that the signing of various agreements between the Odisha government and industry players will transform the state into a major global energy hub.
On Tuesday, the Odisha government signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) for a mega dual-feed cracker (DFC) and its downstream unit, with an investment of Rs.58,042 crore at Paradip.
Additionally, another MoU was signed between the Odisha government and the Indian Strategic Petroleum Reserves Limited (ISPRL) for a crude oil storage facility at Chandikhol in Jajpur at a cost of Rs.8,743 crore. An MoU for an LNG terminal at Gopalpur, costing Rs.2,306 crore, was also signed with Petronet LNG Limited.
