SC to hear TN Govt's suit against Kerala on mega parking project on July 10

SC to hear TN Govt's suit against Kerala on mega parking project on July 10

New Delhi, Apr 22 (UNI) The Supreme Court today fixed July 10 for finalising the legal issues related to a suit filed by the Tamil Nadu Government against the neighbouring Kerala state over the construction of a mega parking project near the Mullaperiyar dam.
A Bench headed by Justice A.S. Oka recorded Tamil Nadu’s objection to the findings of the Survey of India report on the parking project.
In an affidavit filed by Tamil Nadu, represented by senior advocates V. Krishnamurthy, P. Wilson, G. Umapathy, and advocate D. Kumanan it was contented that the report filed by Survey of India is factually incorrect that the construction of the mega car parking is outside the leased area.
The Court will hear the petition on July 10, 2024.
