Tourism facilities to be developed in Chitrakoot with Rs 50 crore: Minister

Lucknow, Apr 8 (UNI) Chitrakoot, the sacred land where Lord Ram, Mata Sita and Lakshman spent a significant part of their exile, is set for a major tourism revival.
With the Uttar Pradesh Tourism Department approving projects worth Rs 50 crore, the region will soon see modern facilities, cultural upgrades and improved infrastructure across its most revered spiritual landmarks, offering pilgrims a richer and more seamless experience.
Tourism and Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh on Tuesday said that a Tourist Facility Centre will be developed at the prominent stop of the Ram Van Gaman Path within the Chitrakoot city. "The centre will include indoor seating with a restaurant, satsang or multipurpose hall, meeting rooms, office spaces, toilets and dormitory accommodations. A budget of Rs 11.93 crore has been approved for the project, with Rs 50 lakh already released to initiate the work," he said.
