Hyd: ACB catches drug control official while taking Rs 18K bribe

Hyderabad, April 15 (UNI) The sleuths of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) caught an official of drug control in the Nalgonda zone on Monday when he was accepting a bribe amount of Rs 18,000.
The accused officer, Koorelli Someshwar, Drug Inspector, Nalgonda, and In-Charge Miryalguda Office of the Asst. Director, Drug Control Administration, Nalgonda Zone, was caught by the ACB at his office when he demanded and accepted the bribe amount of Rs 18,000 from the complainant, Chittepu Saidi Reddy, Hospital Maintenance In-Charge of Nukala Venkat Reddy Charitable Hospital, Kothagudem Village, Nalgonda District, for doing an official favour to process the Drugs Licence application about M/s Nukala Venkat Reddy Charitable Hospital, Pharmacy, Kothagudem Village, Nalgonda District, an ACB statement said.
The accused officer thereby performed his public duty improperly and dishonestly.
