Maha: Anti-graft agency nabs Gramsevak for accepting Rs 5000 bribe

Kolhapur, Raigad, Apr 11 (UNI) Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) Mumbai department officials on Friday arrested a Gramsevak of Maleghar village in Pen tehsil of Raigad district for accepting bribe of Rs 5,000 from the complainant to provide a assessment certificate of his house.
The arrested man has been identified as Parmeshwar Savairam Jadhav (48), working as Gramsevak at Maleghar village.
According to an ACB press release, the complainant applied for assessment certificate of his house in Vadgaon of Pen tehsil. He requested Gramsevak Mr Jadhav, who demanded Rs 5,000 for it as a bribe amount.

Maha: Govt takes decision to increase commission of ration shopkeepers by Rs 20 per quintal

Mumbai, Apr 15 (UNI) The decision to increase the commission of ration shopkeepers who distribute food grains to seven crore beneficiaries in the state's villages by Rs 20 per quintal from Rs 150 to Rs 170 was taken in a meeting held at Mantralaya on Tuesday, under the chairmanship of Deputy Chief Minister and Food & Civil Supplies Minister Ajit Pawar.
