'Gudhipadwa' 1st day of Marathi new year celebrated with enthusiasm in Marathwada

Chhatrapati Sambhaijnagar, Apr 9 (UNI) ‘Gudi Padwa’ the very first day of Chaitra month of the Marathi new year, is being celebrated with enthusiasm and gaiety across the Marathwada region of the state, which comprises eight districts, on Tuesday.
This day is also celebrated as 'Hindu New Year' day.
On this auspicious day, Gudhi was installed, with the help of Kalash on the top of Bamboo stick, wrapped with new clothes, Neem tree leaves, and garlanded with sugar gathi (sweet) and flowers in front of their respective houses after completing poojas.
