Iranian police eliminate 15 terrorists involved in police stations attacks

Tehran, Apr 4 (UNI) Fifteen members of the Jaish al-Adl terrorist group who attacked two police stations in the cities of Rask and Chah Bahar in the southeastern Iranian province of Sistan and Baluchestan were killed in a law enforcement operation, the commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps' (IRGC) ground forces, Mohammad Pakpour, said on Thursday.
Earlier in the day, Iranian Deputy Interior Minister Seyyed Majid Mirahmadi said that five IRGC and police officers had been killed and about 10 had been injured in clashes with the terrorists. Sistan and Baluchestan Deputy Governor Alireza Markhamati said that the attackers had planned to infiltrate the IRGC headquarters, but a shootout with law enforcement officers prevented them from doing so. He said that the attack began at around 10.00 p.m. local time (18:30 GMT) and said that the Jaish al-Adl group had links to Israel.
"With the elimination of three more armed terrorists, the terrorist death toll has risen to 15," Iranian news agency IRNA quoted Pakpour as saying.
