Japan introduces exports ban on 164 types of goods to Russia

Tokyo, Apr 5 (UNI) Japan has banned exports of 164 types of goods to Russia, including motor oil, pipes for gas and oil pipelines and lithium-ion batteries, the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry said on Friday.
The ban includes motor oil, hydrogen chloride, aluminum hydroxide, nitrocellulose, pipes for gas and oil pipelines and rhenium in pieces, powder and as waste, the ministry said.
The ministry also expanded the list of non-precious metals banned for exports to Russia. Japan also banned exports of power tools, including grinding tools for processing wood, cork, hard rubber and plastic. The export ban also includes lithium-ion and nickel-hydrogen batteries, microtomes and thermostats, the ministry said.
