Kolkata, April 26 (UNI) In a highly anticipated clash at the iconic Eden Gardens, Punjab Kings have won the toss and opted to bowl first against Kolkata Knight Riders in the 42nd match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) here on Friday.
Captain of Punjab Kings, Sam Curran, expressed his team's eagerness to play at this renowned venue, particularly after facing consecutive losses at home. Curran announced strategic changes in the squad, with Jonny Bairstow making his way into the team in place of Liam Livingston.
On the other hand, Shreyas Iyer, the skipper of KKR, conveyed his satisfaction with the team's performance, highlighting the cohesive effort of every member. He disclosed the inclusion of Dushmantha Chameera in the squad, substituting the injured Mitchell Starc, aiming to sustain their momentum in the tournament.
