War Memorial in Lucknow to have light and sound show

Lucknow, April 3, (UNI) Lucknow is about to enhance its tourism appeal with a new laser light and sound show at the Smritika War Memorial in Lucknow Cantonment area.
Tourism and Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh said that the enthralling display will bring to life the heroic stories of people who have laid their lives in the service of the nation. "The light and sound show will inspire the younger generation, with tales of courage and sacrifice," he said.
He said, "The light and sound show will educate visitors about historical events and acts of valour, making Lucknow's tourism even more attractive."
The Minister said that the project will cost approximately Rs 8.95 crore upon completion while Rs 2 crore has been released to initiate the work.
He said, "The development of a laser light and sound show at the war memorial will serve as a significant step to remind the people about the sacrifice of the martyrs, fostering patriotism. Once ready, the show will present an indelible experience blending history, technology and national pride." UNI AB SSP

War-level efforts needed to protect crops from fire: Yogi

Gorakhpur, Apr 5 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday directed the administration and police officials to take urgent measures to protect Rabi crops from fire incidents and said that the welfare of farmers is paramount.
While presiding over a meeting with officials in Gorakhpur, the CM stressed the need for swift action in case of a fire. He directed that fires be controlled immediately upon detection and that, in addition to existing fire stations, seasonal fire stations should remain operational around the clock as per regional requirements.
