Strict action, not appeals to work against rioters in WB: Yogi

Agra (UP), Apr 15 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday strongly condemned the incidents of violence in West Bengal and said that only strict action, not mere appeals, would work against those who incite riots.
Speaking at the inauguration of the 30th three-day Bhimnagari Mahotsav in Agra, held on the occasion of the 134th birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar, the CM addressed a large gathering and expressed concern over the targeting of poor and Dalit Hindus in West Bengal.
Criticising the silence of the Samajwadi Party (SP) and Congress over the issue, he said that these parties have turned a blind eye while the lives of the marginalised are under threat.
