UP govt grants recognition to 73 new Sanskrit colleges

Lucknow, Apr 9 (UNI) In a bid to promote Sanskrit and employment-orientated education in Uttar Pradesh, the state government has granted recognition to 73 new Sanskrit colleges across the state, official sources said here on Wednesday.
Sources said that in a parallel effort, the Uttar Pradesh Secondary Sanskrit Education Council has launched four new diploma courses to enhance employability. "Currently, diploma-level training is being provided in 184 institutions statewide," they said.
Sources said that the government's continuous efforts to develop Sanskrit education are set to benefit lakhs of students. "Setting up new Sanskrit institutions, particularly in rural areas, will open up opportunities for students to pursue Sanskrit studies and build a better future," they said.
